Our Wish For You in 2020!

It is here! The start of a new year- an opportunity to start fresh and re-frame the challenges and accomplishments of the past year into an action plan for self-care, happiness, and movement towards your best life.

Whether trying to build your family, caring for your little one (or not so little ones), or struggling with physical or emotional blockages, it isn't always easy to put the puzzle pieces together in a concrete way moving forward. Sometimes it feels heavy and the right direction seems unclear... or you are just exhausted.

We want to challenge you to make this year, in fact this decade, about YOU!.

Listen to your Gut: Know when enough is enough. Be, Listen, Journal, Meditate. Acknowledge anything that does not feel in alignment with your goals and put you on your ideal path.

Stop Self- Sabotage: Say no, be selfish, stop trying to please others. Believe that you amazing just as you are and can do anything. Dream big, dream small- love yourself enough to bring your potential into focus.

Advocate for You and Your Health: This might mean making some dietary changes to support your health, adding in exercise and movement, or having difficult discussions with your health care providers when you don't feel heard (or finding someone who will listen).

Get Support: You are not alone! Connect with your tribe:)  Talk to friends, try out a support group, find ways to meet new people with common interests, take a class. Schedule some time with a nutritionist, a trainer, a therapist, or any provider that can help give you the confidence to get where you want to go.

Clean Out Toxins: Both physical and emotional. Take some time to swap out your cabinets with healthier options for cooking, cleaning, make-up, and body/feminine products. Opt for glass over plastic. Get a water filter. Buy organic where you can. Commit to a cleaner, healthier you! When necessary, take a step back from negative relationships and environments. It can be hard to let go of friendships or jobs that bring youdown, but releasing something that isn't healthy can leave space for a great new chapter. What might that look like?

Invite Happiness and Be Open: To quote Pooh, "Doing nothing always leads to the very best of something". There are things in life that you can't plan and sometimes the more you try and control the outcome or how you get there, the more stuck and heartbroken you feel. We wish we could say that effort always leads to results but sometimes we just need to take a step back and let go of the attachment to the outcome. Bring love and happiness into your life in whatever ways you can. Laugh, have fun, explore, let go, and be receptive. Sometimes the answer is much different and more magical that anything you could have imagined.

We wish you wonderful things in the coming year and look forward to supporting your journey. We are grateful for each and every one of you and all you offer to the Orchid community.
